  4. Author's note: I personally visited Henry County Courthouse in June, 1991 to try to locate Diadamia's death record. As they had written me, it does not exist. Explanation given by the clerk was that during the years when the Chaffins lived in Napoleon, death records were taken door-to-door at the end of March each year. Because Diadamia died at the end of April and Dr. Chaffin left town shortly thereafter, there was nobody to give the information in March, 1876. A trip to the Napoleon Public Library led me to Diadamia's obituary and a cemetery book that showed her body to be interred in Glenwood Cemetery. Diadamia is buried in the Heller family plot with her daughter, Sophronia and the rest of the Heller family. Her stone is the largest one there and sits at one end by itself. Although the elements have degenerated it a great deal, the lettering is still good enough that I got a legible photograph. MHM
